Every student knows AlmaLaurea: if you do not fill out this questionnaire, you will not have your degree! This AlmaLaurea 2016 Report was presented and discussed on April 27, 2016. The survey on the employment condition is based on a total of 5,752 responses from graduates of the University of Trento.
The survey involved 1,945 bachelor graduates in 2014 interviewed after one year from the graduation, that is in 2015.
However, a high proportion of first-level graduates, 65%, continue their academic way with Master Degree. The employment rate (when considering occupied also people who are involved in paid training ) is 71%, while the unemployment rate (calculated on the labor force, that is, those who have already entered or intend to enter in the labor market) is equal to 17%. 37% of employees can count on a stable job, or permanent contracts or actual self-employment (freelance, self-employed people, entrepreneurs, etc.). The net salary is on average 1,154 euro monthly. How many graduates end up working in the field for which they studied? Thirty two percent of graduates consider their degree effective and useful for work that they are doing.
The number of students who graduated with Master Degree in 2014 and participated in the survey in one year are entitled after their graduation was 1103, the number of those who graduated in 2012 and were surveyed three years after graduation was 1001 and the number of those who graduated in 2010 and were surveyed five years after graduation was 800.
Master graduates in 2014 at one year are entitled 1103, those of 2012 to three years are 1001 and those of 2010 to five years 800.
After one year from the graduation 82% of the Master Degree graduates of 2014, including those who are in paid training, are occupied. The unemployment rate, calculated on the labor force, was 10%. 30 percent of employees can count on a steady job (permanent contracts or self-employment). The net salary is € 1,197 monthly.
After three years from the graduation 89% of Master Degree graduates of 2012 are occupied. The unemployment rate is 6%. Those in permanent employment costitute 52%. The net salary come to 1,368 euro monthly. Where do they work? 74% of the graduates are placed in the private sector, while 19% in the public. The remaining graduates work in non-profit orgaznization (7%). The services sector accounts for 75%, while the industry accounts 22% of employees. Only a marginal percentage of the graduates work in agriculture
After five years from graduation 89% of the Master Degree graduates of 2010 are occupied. The unemployment rate is 6%. Employment outcomes are similar to those recorded after three years. Those in permanent employment constitute 71%. Net pay come to 1,507 euro net monthly. But where do they work? 73% of the graduates are placed in the private sector, while 20% in the public. The remaining rest work in non-profit organization (7%). The service sector accounts for 78%, while the industry welcomes 20% of employees.
