The New Student’s Guide to the Galaxy Chapter 4. Student associations in Trento

By Elena Khaliman

The main aim of students organizations is improvement of the relationship between students and the institution and improvement of the educational and recreational possibilities during their years of study.

The University of Trento grants associations and student unions the rights to use certain premises within its structures, within the limits of their availability.

Other kinds of support are handled by the Opera Universitaria of Trento. Support of cultural and social activities of cooperatives and student associations  includes annual management support and funding of initiatives. However, to access the benefits provided by the University and the Opera Universitaria, the associations have to be accredited every year by November 30.

Activities conducted by student associations consist mainly of  organizing cultural, theatrical, recreational activities, and sports and improving involvement of students in the life of the university and the city.
